The Route

The great circle traces a circumnavigation unlike any other. Departing from Lisbon at the end of 2026 and returning to the Mediterranean in 2030, Red Dragon will cross five oceans and touch some of the most extraordinary destinations on the planet. Every leg is bookable separately — choose your moment and come aboard.

Caraibi – Panama

The journey begins in the Caribbean a world of turquoise waters, white sand beaches and legendary anchorages. From the first Atlantic landfall, Red Dragon moves through the islands before reaching Panama and the gateway to the Pacific. A crossing that marks the true beginning of the adventure.

Galapagos
Few places on earth remain as untouched as the Galápagos. An archipelago where wildlife shows no fear and the underwater world is unlike anything else in the Pacific. Red Dragon anchors here in April 2027 — long enough to explore, short enough to leave wanting more.
French Polynesia
Emerald peaks rising from turquoise lagoons. Motus fringed with white sand. The kind of silence that only exists far from the world. French Polynesia — Eastern, Central and Western — is the heart of Le Grand Passage, and one of its most unforgettable chapters.
Cook Island
Remote, unhurried and extraordinarily beautiful. The Cook Islands offer a glimpse of the Pacific as it once was — pristine reefs, warm waters and a way of life that moves at its own pace. A perfect pause between the open ocean passages.
Fiji
Red Dragon arrives in Fiji in March 2028 an archipelago of over 300 islands, each with its own character. Vibrant coral reefs, warm hospitality and some of the finest sailing waters in the world. A destination that rewards those who take the time to explore beyond the obvious.
New Zealand
Red Dragon reaches Auckland in November 2027 for scheduled maintenance and reprovisioning. New Zealand’s largest city offers a world-class marina, exceptional cuisine and easy access to some of the most dramatic landscapes in the southern hemisphere. A well-earned rest before the next chapter begins.
Indonesia
From September 2028, Red Dragon navigates Indonesia from East to West — through the Banda Sea, Komodo, Bali and beyond. A world of extraordinary diversity: volcanic landscapes, ancient cultures, pristine reefs and some of the richest marine biodiversity on the planet.
Mauritius
A scheduled maintenance stop that doubles as a destination in its own right. Mauritius offers turquoise lagoons, lush interiors and a unique blend of cultures. Red Dragon pauses here before the final push across the Indian Ocean toward the African coast.
Sudafrica & Namibia
The African coast offers some of the most dramatic sailing scenery in the world. South Africa and Namibia mark a turning point in Le Grand Passage where the Indian Ocean gives way to the South Atlantic and the journey begins its long arc back toward Europe.
Sant’Elena & Brasile
Saint Helena one of the most remote islands in the world offers a brief but remarkable stop before Red Dragon crosses the South Atlantic toward Brazil. The Brazilian coast arrives in May 2029, a world of colour, energy and extraordinary natural beauty.
Sudafrica & Namibia
The Caribbean once more, then the Azores, Portugal and the Mediterranean. Le Grand Passage closes its circle — with arrival in Genoa at the end of 2030.
